'Abysmal': the unconscious and cartography

Of the many passages in A Critique of Cartographic Reason by Gunnar Olsson, there is one in particular that reveals the nature of the abysmal dimension of such critiques. I am referring here to the exergue and the warning opening the Chapter Quod Erat respectively: The map does not reproduce the unconscious closed in upon itself; it constructs the unconscious, and Here nobody is admitted who does not know his geometry.
