摘要

Considering the test results, glass fibre filter media perform best in terms of filtration efficiency. However, the heavy shedding of numerous broken fibres on the clean air side operating conditions, as well as a dust generating bag manufacturing process mean substantial disadvantages for the use of this medium. In view of standard EN 779, questions remain regarding the monitoring of the dedusting behaviour or the interaction of the test aerosol with glas or synthetic to allow for an unbiased comparison. Statically charged media show good pressure drop, but after discharging however, efficiency very strongly decreases. Sawascreen, being comprised of fine fibres, shows better pressure drop values compared to glass fibres. Moreover, the high number of fine meltblown fibres give a certain sustainability under real life conditions.
