Die Bank Realkredit finanzierte den vor ihrem Hauptsitz in Kopenhagen gelegenen Platz, der durch ausgesuchte Materialien und stilsichere Gestaltung besticht.%In 1996, the Realkredit Bank and the City of Copenhagen held a competition to upgrade the square before the bank's modernistic headquarters in the downtown area of the Danish capital. The architectural practice Brandt, Hell, Hansted and Holscher gained first prize in collaboration with the landscape architect Carsten Bonnen Lassen. Their design, which makes the square a logical continuation of the building while creating a link to the adjacent Orsteds-park, is restricted to four elements: a uniform paved area, which acts as the basis, a raised area of granite, a step-way, and vegetation in the form of plane and linden trees.
