摘要

Although some critics deride video games as distractions from real life, they are actually very life-affirming, argues Jane McGonigal, director of Game Research and Development at the Institute for the Future. In Reality Is Broken, she makes the case that they can relieve boredom and depression, foster creative thinking, and bring people together to work in unison for greater causes, including real-life humanitarian goals and efforts to achieve political or social reform.
