摘要

Serbian Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac stated that some RSD57 billion ($985 million) has been set aside 2 percent minimum of GDP requested by all NATO members. As an aspiring NATO member country, Serbia is attempting to restructure and modernize its armed forces in order to gain accession into the Alliance. Belgrade's goal is to have a smaller, more efficient, and fully professionalized armed force of about 26,500 personnel by 2010.
