On a sunny saturday a year ago hundreds gathered around the Esprit megastore that had just opened in Munich. Craning their necks, they saw models decked out in the U.S. fashion brand's sporty-chic clothes and strutting, one after another, down the facade of the building. Suspended by a thin rope, the models moved to dance music as they descended the "vertical catwalk."
