Latvian company Ventspils Nafta is recognized as the most advanced oil terminal in the region of the Baltic Sea. The high quality and safety of operations on the company's huge site on the northeast coast have earned it international respect in the energy industry. For more than 40 years crude oil and oil products from Russia have been exported through the port of Ventspils. Pipelines and rail networks connect the oil terminal to the oil-producing regions of Russia and the CIS countries.
