MOVING FORWARD ON MANY FRONTS: THE U.S.-JAPAN RELATIONSHIP

Last year in these pages, I focused on the celebrations surrounding the 50th anniversary year of the signing of the U.S.-Japan Treaty of Mutual Cooperation and Security. It was truly an honor for me to be the representative of President Obama and of the United States of America during the historic milestone year of 2010. The United States and Japan have established an enduring partnership based on a shared vision of peace, prosperity, and democratic values.
