From Thomas Edison to Albert Einstein to Les Paul, New Jersey has long been home to some of the nation's most inventive and influential people. As the Garden State celebrates its 350th anniversary, its business climate is showing signs of life in spite of experiencing the second costliest hurricane in U.S. history and enduring the tailwinds of significant cuts in military spending. Residents of the state have much to be proud of. Trenton-Ewing, for example, is now ranked the 10th fastest-growing economy of all U.S. metros. Nonagricultural employment throughout the state, especially in professional and business services, health care and retail, is up, and growth is projected to continue in the next three years.
