Creative Dining Services (CDS), the contract management firm based in Zeeland, MI, doesn't have a corporate uniform. Likewise, it doesn't put a logo on signage at its some 50 accounts in higher education, corporate dining, retirement communities and conference centers. The goal is to be transparent to customers-but it has recently been hard for the company to escape the foodservice industry spotlight, as Creative Dining is this year's Winning Workforce Award recipient in the non-commercial category, as honored by the National Restaurant Association's Educational Foundation.
