Sriracha. Nashville hot chicken. Kale. While mainstream now, these flavors were once less common, only recently rising to widespread awareness and interest-and, arguably, oversaturation. Because so many of today's consumers are trend seekers-at least to some degree-it can pay off to be on the early wave of the next big flavor. But adding new flavors and ingredients to the menu can be time-consuming and costly.
