摘要

An Indian food wholesaler has been fined £180,000 after rat droppings at one of its warehouses in Birmingham. After pleading guilty to three breaches of food hygiene regulations, East End Foods was also ordered to pay £3,453 costs. An inspector who visited the warehouse in Darwin Street, Highgate in January 2017 saw a rat run across the floor. Inspectors found rat droppings on shelves on both floors of the warehouse. They also discovered other gnawed food products such as boxes of super noodles and blancmange and bags of semolina.
