Obituary: Colin Ogilvie Gill - 1943-2014

We are very saddened to relay the passing of Colin Gill, PhD, esteemed colleague and friend, on December 13, 2014. Over the course of an exemplary career that spanned four decades, Colin conducted research that provided critical fundamental and applied knowledge about the microbial ecology and safety of fresh meat products. During his tenure as Contributing Editor to Food Microbiology from 1993-2013, he contributed immensely to the aims and stature of the journal.
