Integrated systems are reducing coding errors

Integrated marking and vision systems are helping food and drink manufacturers to reduce product recalls and cut costs, according to coding and marking specialist Markem-lmaje. While product recalls have tended to focus on contamination fears, Lidl and The Co-operative Group have recently been hit by recalls linked to supplier labelling errors. But this problem could be reduced following a new partnership set up between Markem-lmaje and Cognex to deliver a fully integrated'Mark & Read'system.
