Duty holders urged to step up safety

Bureau Veritas has urged duty holders to step up efforts to reduce the safety risk posed by poor electrics, ahead of new wiring regulations.Due to be published this month, BS 7671 - IET Wiring Regulations 18th edition, set to come into force in January 2019, will include several changes in relation to protection against fire, over-voltages and clarity on special location installations, in a bid to optimise safety in domestic, industrial and commercial locations.
