SweeGen's Bestevia Reb-M successfully commercialized

SweeGen, Inc. is introducing Bestevia Reb-M, the Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.-based company's non-caloric high purity stevia sweetener. SweeGen's Bestevia Reb-M offers a clean, sweet taste comparable to regular table sugar, the company said, and it is the first sweetener of its type to be made commercially available via bioconversion. The sweetener's production uses proprietary and patent-pending bioconversion technologies using natural steviol glycosides derived from the stevia leaf.
