Shoreham makes it six

Shoreham Aircraft Museum completed the sixth of its Battle of Britain pilot memorials on September 29 with the unveiling of a stone commemorating Fg Off Robin 'Bubble' Waterston at the Artillery Headquarters in Woolwich. The plan is to pay tribute to each pilot who died defending his country during the summer of 1940 within a 10-mile (16km) radius of the museum at Shoreham, near Sevenoaks, Kent.rn'Bubble', of 603 (City of Edinburgh) Squadron, fell to the guns of a Messerschmitt Bf 109 of JG3 on August 31,1940. Based at Hornchurch, Essex, the 23-year old fighter pilot was flying Supermarine Spitfire I X4273 'XT-K' and was killed when it crashed in Woolwich.
