Followers of our News pages will know that Brendon and Chris Deere and the team at ITL Aviation in New Zealand are close to flying their restoration of Supermarine Spitfire IX PV270. Brendon's uncle was Air Cdre 'AI' Deere and the Spitfire will honour the famous World War Two 'ace'. UK aviation artist Martin Bleasby -rnwe profiled him in the August 2008 issue - has been commissioned to produce a limited edition of PV270 back in its element. A giclee print of 50 signed by the artist, Brendon and Chris is available at ￡80.00 plus ￡6 p&p (UK), and remarques at an extra ￡50 can be arranged. Printed on 100% cotton rag paper the overall size is approx 28 × 17in (73 × 43cm), and each comes with a certificate of authenticity.
