North American T-6 restoration company Midwest Texans, based in Huntington, Indiana, USA, sadly went into liquidation in October. In its three-year existence, it produced four award-winning T-6 restorations, but fell on hard times in 2009.rnShortly after 'Air Venture' Oshkosh in August where their last completed rebuild, SNJ-5C 51868 (N518WW), took the 'Best T-6' award, staff were let go and the workshop doors closed for good. Starman Brothers Auctions Inc rnwere then tasked with disposing of the company's substantial holdings, including a few flight ready aircraft, several T-6 project 'kits', large amounts of tooling and hardware, and airframe spares.
