Planes of Fame Air Museum's latest recruit is Yakovlev Yak-}V NX 130AM. This started life as a Czechoslovakian-built LET C. 11 Moose two -seat trainer which was supplied to the Egyptian Air Force as 533 in the late 1950s. In the mid-1980s no fewer than 41 former Egyptian C. 11 s were moved to La Ferte Alais, near Paris, and offered to warbird operators. This machine arrived at Duxford, Cambs, iti June 1988 for The Fighter Collection. The Moose was derived from the Yak-3 fighter - see the panel - and as such was ideal to be reworked in the guise of its forebear.
