Wings Museum migrates south

Having opened for the first time in the spring of 2008, the Wings Museum at Redhill, Surrey, closed the following November to prepare for its second season. Sadly, the incredible collection could not open again at the aerodrome site and faced the huge task of relocating. After massive efforts, the entire museum has moved to Balcombe in West Sussex and taken the opportunity to modify its name; it is now the Wings World War Two Remembrance Museum. The new venue offers great potential, having nearly eight times the space. This will allow the founders, Daniel and Kevin Hunt, to show off many more of their artefacts and airframes. A grand opening will take place on March 20/21 and regular open weekends will be staged during the year.
