Flying Fortress to be restored

Restoration work on Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress 44-85790 Lacey Lady is due to commence next year in Aurora, Oregon, US. The aircraft belongs to members of first owner Art Lacey's family and has been on external display at Milwaukie, Oregon, since 1947. The nose section has already been separated from the airframe and restored. The next phase took place on July 25, when all four engines and propellers were removed and placed on a flatbed trailer.
