UK debut for RE.8 reproduction

Royal Aircraft Factory RE.8 'A3930' made its UK air display debut at Old Warden's Shuttleworth Pageant on September 2. 'A3930' is probably the first RE.8 to fly in the UK since 1919, as none apparently joined the UK civil register. The reproduction was built by New Zealand's The Vintage Aviator Ltd, acquiring the civil registration ZK-TVC in December 2011. Flying for the first time at Hood, Masterton, in January, it arrived at the Bedfordshire aerodrome on August 10, along with Sopwith Snipe 'E6655' and Albatros D.Va 'D.7343/17' (also see Finals, page 114).
