In 1993,1 was a civilian instructor with the 2071 Squadron Air Training Corps at Stamford, Lines. One of my many duties was to arrange trips for the cadets to military bases. One such visit was to RAF Waddington, which happened in March 1993. Three cars were organised to get the cadets there, but the day before the event I had a call to say one of the vehicles was no longer available. I called my pal Ken, who readily volunteered to step in to ensure no cadet was denied the visit.
