Spirits are high in the offices at Coningsby, the Lincolnshire home of the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. Cold as it is on December 18, 2013, Sqn Ldr Duncan 'Dune' Mason has just returned from a photo sortie with lensman Richard Paver. Dune, who has just completed his first 'season' as Officer Commanding with the Flight, replacing Sqn Ldr Ian Smith, was flying newly painted Supermarine Spitfire LF.IXe MK356, with Richard keeping pace in a Piper Aztec camera ship.
