After 14 years as a static museum exhibit and a year's restoration work by Raymond Chouanet and Loiec Lotterie (airframe) and Serge Touvait (engine), Potez JD.60 Sauterelle F-PVOB of Espace Air Passion has flown again at Angers, France, increasing the worldwide number of original flying Sauterelles to five. Few, if any, Sauterelles survived World War Two intact. Post-war, F-PVOB was reconstructed by Jacques Delattre (hence the JD designation) from parts of several others. Work started in 1960 but wasn't finished until 1975. By then its original engine - a 60hp Potez 3B radial - was unobtainable, leading to Quebec-Bravo initially being fitted with a Minie 40C30 unit, which was later replaced by a more reliable Continental A65/8.
