C/L Stunt

Happy Holidays to all of you and your families. The focus of this column is the AMA Control Line Scale Nationals. This is my second venture at spending all of my time at the Nats devoted to scale. Last year I encouraged two of my band students to attend profile scale. Bryan Parker plays a lead trumpet part in my band and he took on Senior Profile while Bobby attacked Junior Profile. Bobby is a fine young French horn performer. Bryan flew his Shoestring and Bobby chose an Me-109 for competition. Both did well and I am proud of them. Summer missionary work in their local church prevented them from attending this year. The trip itself allowed me to focus more on the ins and outs of scale competition while not having the needs of Stunt interfere with my thought process.
