Talking to a friend one night, the subject of indoor flying came up. The friend made a comment that what he would really like to have is an airplane that can fly indoors, will take a bad landing or contact with a wall or two and be gentle enough for someone just starting out in this hobby to fly. This friend also suggested that fan fold foam would make a good material for such an airplane as he had some lying around and so the seed was planted. The airplane is named after the friend who inspired the whole idea. I would also like to thank another friend, Rob Howard, for his help in writing this article, as it probably would not have happened without his help. In working out the details of just such an airplane it was decided that GWS equipment would be used because it's fairly light, readily available from almost any hobby store and the price is very competitive.
