My bet would be that every modeler has one "Dream Aircraft" that they are just crazy about and would love to have as a scale model. Usually there is no logical reason for the infatuation; it just is!rnThe Douglas A-26 Invader has always been that aircraft for me. It was one of the very few American warbirds conceived (early '41), designed (4/41), built (7/10/42) and flown in combat (6/23/44) entirely during the WW II period. The A-26 saw WW II service in the European and Pacific Theaters, all through Korea and in Vietnam from 5/60 to 11/69. It is one of the few US airplanes to go from Attack (A) to Bomber (B) and back again to Attack (A-26K).
