Airbus studies extra seating for XWB

Airbus has embarked on a development study on A350 interior reconfiguration that could increase economy-class capacity by up to 18 seats. The concepts include a new aft door arrangement and lateral galley reshaping, as well as a revised central galley further forward. Airbus says it is also working on improvements to the cabin crew rest compartment and optimising the lavatory design. It believes that in a four-class A350 configuration, the changes could enable installation of another 12 economy seats. But it could provide up to 18 seats in a two-class layout.
