Australia, the Netherlands and the UK are set to be the first nations to establish global repair hubs outside the USA to support the Lockheed Martin F-35 as the type begins to ramp up overseas operations. Maintenance, repair, overhaul and upgrades will be performed in the countries between 2021 and 2025 under a new arrangement with the US Department of Defense, which has made the three nations responsible for a combined 65 repairable elements on the F-35 from a possible 774.
