Supporting Inclusion Programme - where does the Service fit in?

DCLG is investing ￡10 million, linked to ￡5 million of match funding, into the Supporting Inclusion Programme as part of their integration strategy in an attempt to address some of the youth disenfranchisement issues that came to a head during the civil unrest that took place during summer 2011. The plan is to try to attract young people in to uniformed organisations in their local area to encourage a greater sense of community engagement.rnProbably the first uniformed youth organisations which come to mind for most members of the public would be Scouts, Guides, Boys and Girls Brigade, St John Ambulance, Army Cadet, Air Training Corps etc.
