Hopes and aspirations: New NFCC Chair sets out his stall

As I start my journey in the role as NFCC Chair, I wanted to share with you my hopes and aspirations for both my time in the role and, more importantly, what I hope to achieve with and for fire and rescue services in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. It's impossible to capture all the work of the NFCC in a single column. So, in this and future columns I will share my priorities as NFCC Chair, the great work of the NFCC through operations, resilience, protection, prevention, people and other areas besides, and will set out the current and emerging challenges and opportunities we all face together.
