The fire Sector Summit is now a much-anticipated date on the industry's calendar and this year the FPA held events over two days at picturesque Whittlebury Hall in Northamptonshire.The first day featured an FPA member event that contained insightful seminar sessions from the BBC on improving fire safety in international premises, an update by FPA associate trainer Mike Floyd on revisions to BS 5839: 2013: Fire detection and fire alarm systems for buildings. Code of practice for design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of systems in non-domestic premises, and a case study from Brent Housing Partnership on an £8 million fire safety works programme.
