FPA seminar studies Hackitt Review's final report

THE EVENT took place on 27 February, attracting a full house of 150 delegates. Chair Jonathan O'Neill, managing director of the FPA, summarised the Hackitt Review and its key outcomes, noting that things have clearly moved on', with a lot of changes' ahead. Speakers would provide the 'inside track' on progress, and he questioned why it has taken 18 months to start a review of the Building Regulations (BRs), noting it was 'beyond me completely'. He also echoed concerns that the reviews would take many years', weighing up the government's 'difficult position' and his worries about the sector's 'ability to scale up'.
