Exploring the Amazing Diversity of New Caledonia's Ferns Part 3: Kouakoue to ML Malaoui

In parts 1 and 2, I reported on the amazing ferns and other pteridophytes observed in New Caledonia while exploring the island's highest peaks assisting University of Florida PhD student Nicolas Anger with his research on the declining tropical conifer Araucaria humboldtensis. We had so far conquered Mt. Humboldt, Montagne de Sources, and Mt. Mou, and two additional sites with populations of this high elevation conifer remained -Kouakoue and Mt. Mamie.
