Cisco reported that Q4 sales rose 12 percent to $4.83 billion, compared with sales of $4.3 billion, a year earlier. The company reported a profit of $1 billion, excluding what the company termed unusual items, or 14 cents a share, compared with profit of $163 million, or 2 cents a share, in the same period last year.
