After a period of ever rising newbuilding activity, the two first weeks of October started off rather slow. This can mainly be explained by the Far East Holidays, thus underlines the Far Eastern builders position in today's market. In the last part of October things went back to the state we have seen earlier this year, with fierce competition on the few favourable slots left and with the yards taking full advantage of their current dominant position.
