Richardson Devine Marine delivers Incat Crowther 28m workboat

Richardson Devine Marine has delivered an Incat Crowther 28m workboat catamaran, Strait Shooter, to Weipa Hire. The owner trades as both Carpentaria Marine Services and Carpentaria Contracting. The positioning voyage around the east coast of Australia from the RDM yard in Hobart, Tasmania, to Weipa, North Queensland, was completed in early January with an owner's crew and RDM director Ron Devine on board.The catamaran, the third Incat Crowther workboat launched by RDM in the past two years, was designed and built to Australia's USL/NSCV 2009 2A requirements for 12 passengers and IB requirements for 50 passengers and crew.Incat Crowther reports, "An evolution of Limitless, a 29m vessel launched in 2009 which has been a great success for its operator, Strait Shooter builds on the design features of Limitless and adds more features specifically developed for Carpentaria Contracting.
