Richardson Devine Marine (RDM) has recently delivered the 'Mary Reibey', the second of four low wash aluminium catamarans for service on routes in Sydney Harbour.The vessel measures 24 metres in length overall, with a beam of 7.2 metres and a draught of 1.4 metres. Displacing 35 tonnes fully loaded, the vessel's ability to transport nearly 200 passengers at 22 knots with a fuel consumption of 72 litres per hour makes for some compelling figures.Operator Captain Cook Cruises has chartered the vessel to Harbour City Ferries, principally for inner harbour operations. Like her sister vessel 'Elizabeth Cook', delivered six months ago, the 'Mary Reibey' is optimised for tight harbour service turnarounds, but can also take longer routes or conduct tourist operations.
