Mozambique's capital and main port, Maputo, is a step closer to becoming southern Africa's main shipping and exporting hub. Transnet, South Africa's national transport operator, has succeeded in reducing the turnaround time of trains operating in the Maputo Development Corridor from 200 to 90 hours.
