Russia's Far Eastern Shipping Company (FESCO) is the self-proclaimed "leader in container technology in Russia" according to its president and CEO, Evgeniy Ambrosov. It is a company that knows where its focus lies - "FESCO does not get involved in tankers," he adds - and, since 2002, has been spending the best part of a billion dollars on a fleet renewal programme. So to find him in Helsinki, as Solutions did, at the naming ceremony for an offshore supply boat does not immediately appear to fit into its strategy.
