DSME wins nine ships for Yamal project

Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) has clinched an order to build another nine ice-breaking LNG carriers for the Yamal LNG project. The nine Arc7 ice-class ships are priced at $314.5M on each and have a capacity of 172,000m~3, with delivery scheduled by 28 February 2020. They will transport LNG from the Yamal project in Russia. Six of the ships were reportedly jointly ordered by Teekay and China Shipping LNG.
