OPINION: THE FUTURE OF HIGHLY FUNCTIONAL GOVERNMENT DEPENDS ON FASTER APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT

Many organisations in the private sector have made great strides in their digitaltransformation efforts -- streamlining business processes, improving customerexperiences with modern mobile applications and progressive web apps, and integratinglegacy platforms to extend their lifespans. The public sector, however, has failed to keepup with the pace of innovation, and the current health and economic crises havedramatically exacerbated this challenging state of affairs for many government agencies.
