Heading into a third year of a shrinking world economy, the state of business continues to be slow, and employee compensation is down. In this year's salary survey, we examined the outlook for the electronics industry in a difficult economy. The 2003 EE Salary Survey saw a record number of participants, 964, totaling a 12% response rate. We asked about salary, education, and company along with job function, satisfac- tion, and security. With the large number of responses to the survey, readers had a lot to say about their current situations at work.
