Six marketing authorisations pending

On 29 June, EU agriculture ministers must also give their opinion on six marketing authorisations (not cultivation authorisations) for genetically modified corn intended for human food and animal feed, on which their experts did not manage to issue an opinion. This concerns two types of corn produced by Monsanto (MON 88017×MON 810 and MON 89034×NK603), one by Pioneer (59122×1507×NK603), one by Dow Agro-Sciences Europe (1507×59122) and two by Syngenta (Bt11×GA21 and the authorisation renewal of Bt11 - SYN- BTO11-1).
