Commission and EIB seek solution for aid to LDCs

Climate Action Commissioner Connie Hedegaard and European Investment Bank (EIB) President Philippe Maystadt agreed, on 14 June, to continue discussions between the European Commission and the EIB on a joint finance initiative to help developing countries (LDCs) to combat climate change.rnFunding was promised to the developing world at the global climate conference in Copenhagen, in December 2009.
