Tough talks ahead over cloned animals

The member states and the European Parliament have until the end of the month to work out a compromise on the draft regulation on novel foods'. One of the key issues to be settled is the approach to foods produced from cloned animals and their offspring. The negotiations are difficult and France, for one, is critical of the European Commission's attitude.
