Energy Council: French debate on nuclear power put to EU level

A group of member states committed to nuclear power made a strong statement towards the continuing use of this source of energy in the future at the 14 February Energy Council meeting in Brussels. The series of declarations was led by France's Minister for Industry, Energy and the Digital Economy Eric Besson, and the delegates of the UK, Hungary, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Slovenia and Romania followed suit.
