Air Transport/Ets: Moscow declaration 'contains nothing new' - Commission

The European Commission has down played the importance of the 'Moscow declaration', which opposes the inclusion of non-European civil aviation in the EU's Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) and was adopted this week by 29 countries, saying it contains "nothing new". The opposition of countries participating in the Moscow meeting to the ETS was already known, the Commission has pointed out, also highlight ing that the declaration contains no con crete measures to help the environment.
